TicTacWord is a free word puzzle game that mixes the grid strategy of tic-tac-toe with Wordle-style word guessing. Instead of placing Xs and Os, you claim squares on a 3×3 board by solving hidden five-letter words — and every answer belongs to the day's theme.

How to Play TicTacWord

1. Pick a square. Each square on the 3×3 grid hides a five-letter word connected to today's theme.
2. Guess the word in 4 tries. After each guess, the tiles change color: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means it's not in the word at all.
3. Claim three in a row. Solve a word to claim its square. Line up three claimed squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win — but miss a word four times and that square is lost for good.
